1. The Service

CalmDown is a general wellness tool designed to help adult users pause and regulate emotions, available on Apple (iPhone / iPad / Apple Watch) and Android (1.4.6.5 and later). Depending on your device and App version, features may include:

• five calming scenarios: Parenting, Pets, Partner, Work, and Personal;
• guided breathing, Memory Album, custom healing messages, and custom voice messages;
• interactive tools such as Let It Out, Calm Claw, Pause Cards, Exhale Bubble, and Pause Checklist;
• Angry Words Freezer, Two-Thumb Cooldown, Anger Fuse, and My Calm Recipe;
• mood entries, Calm Badges, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and Control Center shortcuts;
• Live Activities for Calm Down and Angry Words Freezer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island;
• Apple Watch calming tools, pause checklists, heart-rate trend reminders, and paired-iPhone syncing;
• optional iCloud syncing and the CalmDown Pro in-app purchase.

Features, names, limits, availability, and interface designs may change between versions. The features shown in your current version control.

2. Eligibility

By using the App, you confirm that:

• you are at least 18 years old, or you use the App with a parent or guardian's consent and supervision;
• you have the legal capacity required to use the App; and
• the App is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by them independently.

If you add photos, recordings, or text involving a child, partner, family member, or any other person, you are responsible for having the right to use that content and for respecting that person's privacy.

3. License and Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control.

You may not:

• copy, modify, rent, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit the App;
• reverse engineer, decompile, bypass technical restrictions, or attempt to obtain the App's source code;
• use the App for illegal, infringing, harassing, threatening, self-harming, or harmful activities;
• store content that you do not have the right to use;
• interfere with the App, Apple services, or another person's device; or
• use technical means to bypass free-tier limits, purchase verification, or other restrictions.

4. Your Content and Emotion Tools

You or the original rights holder retain ownership of photos, Live Photos, captions, custom messages, voice recordings, mood entries, pause checklists, angry-word drafts, recipes, and settings that you create or add.

You understand that:

• Angry Words Freezer temporarily stores text that you are not ready to send; it cannot send, recall, or block a message in another app;
• Let It Out and similar tools are virtual, on-screen experiences and do not encourage real-world violence, destruction, or harm;
• you are responsible for deciding whether to save, delete, share, or send any content; and
• the App does not make relationship, parenting, employment, or other real-life decisions for you.

5. Local Storage and iCloud

Most features can run locally. Content you create is stored on your device first. If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, supported content is stored through Apple CloudKit in the private database associated with your Apple Account for merging and restoration across your devices.

The Android version (1.4.6.5 and later) does not provide iCloud or cross-device sync; data stays primarily on-device with system auto-backup disabled, and uninstalling, clearing app data, or switching phones usually makes local content unrecoverable. Android installs via APK from the official website, and over-the-air updates must use the same signing certificate — on a signature conflict, do not uninstall the old version first. iCloud sync is an Apple-only feature; Android (1.4.6.5 and later) does not support it.

The Developer does not operate a separate server to receive, analyze, or sell this content. Apple provides iCloud, CloudKit, the App Store, StoreKit, HealthKit, Photos, notifications, Live Activities, WatchConnectivity, and other system services. Your use of those services is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

6. Apple Watch, Heart Rate, and Reminders

On a compatible Apple Watch, and only after you grant permission, the App can read heart-rate and resting-heart-rate data to identify an on-device trend of a sustained increase and show a non-medical reminder such as: "Your heart rate has been rising. Would you like to calm down?"

You understand that:

• the App does not create or display a fictional "stress score";
• heart-rate changes may be caused by exercise, caffeine, environment, emotions, or many other factors;
• the reminder is not a diagnosis of anger, stress, anxiety, or any medical condition;
• the App does not write to or modify Health data;
• reminder delivery may depend on watch wear, sensor availability, system scheduling, permissions, and battery state; and
• you can revoke Health access or disable reminders at any time in Apple Health, system settings, or App settings.

7. Notifications, Live Activities, and System Surfaces

With your permission, the App may display a breathing phase, countdown, cooling status, or general reminder through notifications, the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Live Activities, widgets, or Apple Watch.

To protect your privacy, the Angry Words Freezer Live Activity is not intended to display the full text you entered. However, people nearby may still see the App name, feature name, timer, status, or reminder text. You are responsible for choosing whether these system displays are appropriate for your environment.

8. CalmDown Pro and In-App Purchases

On Apple, CalmDown Pro is a non-consumable in-app purchase provided through Apple StoreKit. On Android (1.4.6.5 and later), Pro is redeemed via a 19-digit activation code, with each code supporting up to 2 devices simultaneously, working offline after activation with periodic online verification. App Store in-app purchase and restore purchase are Apple-only features; Android (1.4.6.5 and later) does not support them. The two platforms' entitlements are not shared: an Apple purchase does not automatically become Android Pro, and an Android code does not restore on Apple. The Apple purchase rules are as follows:

• it is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew;
• the price, currency, tax, and purchase confirmation shown by the App Store control;
• Apple handles payment, refunds, purchase history, and Family Sharing eligibility under its rules;
• you may use Restore Purchases for eligible rights under the same Apple Account;
• current differences in features, limits, and capacity are shown on the purchase screen; and
• buying Pro does not guarantee that every current interface, feature, or third-party system capability will remain unchanged forever, but we will not convert this non-consumable purchase into an auto-renewing subscription without your separate agreement.

9. Third-Party Services and Connectivity

Local tools usually work offline, but the following may require internet access or Apple system services:

• iCloud / CloudKit syncing;
• in-app purchases, purchase restoration, and refund processing;
• App Store or system-service verification;
• data syncing between Apple Watch and iPhone; and
• notifications, Live Activities, and related background scheduling.

Temporary unavailability caused by connectivity, Apple services, operating-system versions, device compatibility, or permissions is not a breach of these Terms.

10. Health and Safety Disclaimer

The App's breathing, reminder, journaling, interaction, and heart-rate trend features are intended only for general emotional pauses and self-care. They do not provide medical advice, psychological counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency assistance, and are not a substitute for a qualified professional.

If you experience severe or persistent distress, chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, or thoughts of harming yourself or others, stop relying on the App and immediately contact local emergency services, a medical professional, a crisis service, or a trusted person.

11. Availability and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make reasonable efforts to maintain it, but do not guarantee that:

• the App will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device and operating-system version;
• reminders, countdowns, syncing, Live Activities, or background tasks will always run at an exact time;
• using the App will produce a particular emotional, relationship, work, or other real-world outcome; or
• data can never be lost due to device failure, system errors, account issues, insufficient storage, or user action.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from decisions made in reliance on the App, third-party service interruptions, data loss, or misuse of the App. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

12. Intellectual Property

Except for user content, the App and its text, graphics, characters, icons, animations, interface, software, and other materials are owned by the Developer or their lawful owners and are protected by applicable law.

Without written permission, you may not use App materials for commercial promotion, imitation products, training datasets, trademarks, or any purpose beyond personal use.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when features, laws, regulations, or Apple platform rules change. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will use a reasonable notice method, such as an in-app notice.

Continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using and uninstall the App.

14. Termination

You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. If you materially violate these Terms, we may restrict relevant features or terminate the license where permitted by law.

Uninstalling generally deletes local App data but does not automatically delete data already synced to iCloud. Please manage cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy before uninstalling.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring the dispute before a court with jurisdiction where the Developer is located. Any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
